| Occasionally we call on our members to join us when we attempt to challenge anti-landlord legislation at Kansas City council or at the state level in Jefferson City. |
| Only the office staff receives an hourly paid salary; This is how we can keep our membership dues at $50 per year. Officers and board members are not paid for their time except for a per diem allowance for authorized travel. |

| At the State level we are affiliated with a parent association in Jefferson City, the Missouri Apartment Association (MAA) which employs a full-time lobbyist to monitor and promote legislation affecting landlords ( See our legislative reports) |
