   Why Join?

 Landlords, Inc. is managed by Landlords who voluntarily donate their time to achieve the goals of this not-for-profit organization.This organization operates with a low budget to serve its members.
Occasionally we call on our members to join us when we attempt to challenge anti-landlord legislation at Kansas City council or at the state level in Jefferson City.
Only the office staff receives an hourly paid salary; This is how we can
keep our membership dues at $50 per year.
Officers and board members are not paid for their time except for a per diem allowance for authorized travel.

 As a member you will enjoy the following information:

  - At the State level we are affiliated with a parent association in Jefferson City, the Missouri Apartment Association (MAA) which employs a full-time lobbyist to monitor and promote legislation affecting landlords
( See our legislative reports). 

 

- Updates on developments at City Hall regarding landlord-tenant ordinances. 

 - Monthly educational meetings with guest speakers including
attorneys and professionals specialized in rental property 
 

 

 For small charges (near cost) this association also provides the following services:

6/15/09 Vacant and foreclosing property must be registered with the City

All owners of vacant and foreclosing property located in Kansas City, Mo., now must register their properties with the City of Kansas City, Mo., Neighborhood and Community Services Department. This requirement is the result of the passage of ordinance No. 081277 in February 2009.

City names acting director of Neighborhood and Community Services Department

City of Kansas City, Mo., City Manager Wayne A. Cauthen has named David Park as acting director of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department, effective June 5. Park was appointed following the retirement of Lester Washington, a 24-year City employee who served as director of the department for the last seven years.

Attention Kansas City Property Owners- City Begins Nuisance Code Violation Cleanup
